The American University of Science (AUS) and INTI International University have established a formal academic partnership to support cross-border collaboration in higher education. The partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Agreement, provides a framework for academic cooperation in selected undergraduate and graduate programs.
The agreement builds on earlier academic cooperation between AUS and INTI, including the Memorandum of Understanding associated with the QS Higher Ed Summit: Asia Pacific 2023 in Kuala Lumpur. The January 2024 Memorandum of Agreement represents a further step in that relationship by providing a more formal structure for selected areas of academic collaboration.
The agreement reflects the growing importance of international academic pathways in fields shaped by technology, business, research, and organizational leadership. For students and institutions, partnerships of this kind can help connect academic study with broader professional and global contexts while supporting structured cooperation between universities in different national settings.
The partnership identifies several academic programs for collaboration, including the Bachelor of Business (Honours) International Business, Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours), and Master of Information Technology. These programs reflect areas of continuing academic and professional relevance, particularly as students prepare for work, research, and leadership in increasingly connected environments.
The agreement was advanced under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Joseph Lee, Vice Chancellor of INTI International University, and Prof. Christian Luong, President of AUS. At the signing ceremony, both leaders presented the formal agreement documents, marking the institutional support behind the partnership.
The development of the agreement was also supported by Assistant Professor Evgeny Ivanov of AUS and Prof. Dr. Lai Yin Ling of INTI. Their work contributed to the coordination required for an academic partnership involving program alignment, institutional communication, and cross-border planning.
For AUS, the partnership supports the university’s commitment to science-centered, practice-oriented education and international academic engagement. It also strengthens the university’s ability to participate in collaborative academic models that connect technical knowledge, business education, information technology, and professional preparation.
For INTI, the agreement extends its international academic engagement through cooperation with AUS in selected program areas. The partnership creates a basis for continued institutional dialogue and future academic coordination between the two institutions.
AUS and INTI will continue developing the partnership through academic planning and institutional coordination. The agreement establishes a formal foundation for future collaboration while supporting broader opportunities for students and academic programs across an international higher education context.
