Organizational Behavior and Leadership Practice

This course provides a rigorous graduate-level foundation in organizational behavior and leadership practice, examining how individuals, groups, leaders, structures, cultures, and organizational systems shape performance, collaboration, decision-making, adaptation, and human experience at work. It introduces students to the major behavioral and managerial dimensions of organizational life, including diversity, equity, and inclusion; job attitudes; emotions; personality; perception; decision-making; motivation; teamwork; communication; leadership; power; politics; conflict; negotiation; organizational structure; culture; change; human resource systems; stress; health; and employee well-being. Particular attention is given to contemporary workplace realities, including hybrid and virtual collaboration, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data-informed decision-making, psychological safety, employee voice, ethical leadership, and the changing expectations of people and organizations in complex environments. Through behavioral theory, empirical research, applied cases, ethical reflection, and leadership practice, students develop the capacity to diagnose organizational behavior challenges, interpret human and group dynamics responsibly, and exercise evidence-based leadership judgment that strengthens performance, accountability, inclusion, adaptability, and humane organizational life.
