Cynthia Novee Jane C. Dumanig is a licensed psychologist (private practitioner) and university lecturer with over a decade of experience in education, humanitarian work, and mental health services. Her work focuses on trauma-informed care, community-based psychosocial support, and culturally responsive psychological practice.

Cynthia Novee Jane C. Dumanig is a licensed psychologist and lecturer in the Psychology Program at the American University of Science, Vietnam. With over a decade of experience across academic, humanitarian, and social development sectors, she combines teaching, research, and clinical practice in her professional work.

Alongside her academic role, she has been engaged in private psychological practice for the past two years, providing counseling and mental health services through telehealth serving people globally. Her clinical work focuses on trauma-informed care, psychological assessment, and culturally responsive mental health interventions.

Prior to joining AUS, she served as a psychologist with the an international organization where she supported mental health and psychosocial programs in complex humanitarian settings. Her work also includes experience in government social welfare programs, monitoring and evaluation, and academic counseling roles in higher education institutions.

Professional Statement

My professional work focuses on integrating psychological science with socially responsive mental health practice. I am particularly committed to trauma-informed and culturally responsive approaches that support individuals and communities facing adversity, crisis, and displacement.

Through teaching, research, and clinical practice, I aim to contribute to ethical, evidence-based psychological care while preparing future practitioners to address mental health needs within diverse cultural and humanitarian contexts.
